Terms & Conditions

1. Pricing information:

All prices include V.A.T. at the standard UK rate (if applicable). Delivery charges depend on the size and weight of the packaged consignment and will be displayed at the checkout.

2. Order confirmation and order validation:

We will confirm your order either by e-mail or by telephone. Order confirmation is normally sent after we have validated credit/debit card details and received authorisation from the card issuers – Please note that this process can take up to 24 Hours.

3. Payment:

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Delta, Electron and Maestro cards. Payment will be debited to your account as your order is placed. Alternatively we can accept cheques made payable to ” Direct Car Parts ” and sent to the following address:- Direct Car Parts Ltd, A1 Motor Stores, Front Street, Framwellgate Moor, Durham, DH1 5AU.

4. Delivery of goods:

We will endeavour to deliver your order to you within 3-5 working days, providing the goods are in stock (Unless a longer delivery period is clearly stated on the specific product page). If we are not able to meet this deadline, we will contact you within 5 days of receipt of your order to arrange an alternative delivery date. If we are unable to deliver your order within a 30 period we will notify you in writing usually via email. Please note that deliveries to N.Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, The Highlands and Islands of Scotland can take longer than 3-5 days to deliver – Please ask if express delivery is required but note that we will not refund the express delivery charge if goods are subsequently returned.

5. Customer feedback and enquiries:

We are always open to suggestions and we encourage feedback to help us to improve our service levels. If you have any feedback, enquiries or comments then please let us know. 6. Goods damaged in transit:

If you receive an item that has been damaged in transit please notify us within a reasonable time period. Our couriers allow us up to 48 hours from the time of delivery to report transit damage. If goods have been damaged in transit we will make arrangements to replace the goods once the courier has acknowledged the claim for transit damage. We also request that you keep the goods and any packaging in case the courier needs to inspect the delivery as part of the transit insurance claim.

7. Returns under warranty:

Most products carry a manufacturers warranty. Bulbs only carry a three month warranty from the date of purchase. Most other products carry a 12 month minimum warranty. If an item develops a warranty fault within the warranty period we will be happy to repair or replaced the item, however, you will be responsible for any return costs incurred. A replacement item will be sent out at our cost once the fault has been verified and confirmed and the warranty claim acknowledge by the manufacturer. Please note that this process can sometimes take several days. Your legal rights are not affected.

8. Product information and product images:

Although we endeavour to provide you with the latest product information and to ensure that product images are identical to the items supplied, we cannot always guarantee that this will be the case. Product colours and styles can differ slightly from the published images.

9. Confidentiality of personal details:

Personal details are held confidentially. Please note that we never divulge personal details to any third party and any information supplied is used solely for the purpose of processing your order or sending you regular email bulletins (If requested). If you decide that you would like to leave our mailing list, please ask and we will remove all of your details.

10. Suitability of products:

Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that the item that you have ordered is suitable for your car based on the information that we have published on our website. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of any product for your vehicle then please contact us for further advice before ordering. All application information is supplied by the product manufacturers and all dates used in product descriptions are dates of vehicle manufacture, they are not vehicle registration dates. If you are in doubt please ask. Please note that products on this web site are generally suitable for UK specification vehicles and we are not able to ensure suitability of these products for non-UK specification vehicles (including models imported from outside the UK).

11. IMPORTANT:

All products are supplied on a DIY fit basis, fitting instructions are provided in most cases. All items carry a minimum one year manufacturers warranty from the date of purchase and we are happy to replace or repair faulty products if you experience any problems during the warranty period. If you choose to have any product professionally installed we will not be held responsible for any costs involved in installing or removing the product from your vehicle during or after the warranty period. If you are not happy with this policy or any of the above policies please do not purchase.

WEEE Regulations:

Please note that if you have purchased an electrical product from us and you wish to return a like-for-like product to us then contact us first so that we can register your request. Please note that you can return the product in person to our shop or if you wish to return it by post then return to the address shown above. Please note that you are responsible for any costs incurred in returning the product for recycling. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health. To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin. Waste Battery Regulations: Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Direct Car Parts are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (PLEASE DO NOT POST). Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
